Look of the day - Sweet dreams are made of this

Happy Monday everyone! Hope everyone had an awesome weekend and that Monday hasnt been to bad :P Today has started the week of busy for me but that is always good! I have a note from the post office saying i must fetch a package they wanted to deliver on Saturday and i think its my new bedding so i am soooo excited! I have bought new lampshades as well as a chandelier and some canvas prints (the marilyn one pictured above) for the bedroom so i am just waiting to put everything together!

I did my hair yesterday because the roots were showing but i think my hair is becoming immune of hair dye! It doesnt seem to have the effect that i want but what can you do? :P We watched Love and other drugs last night and i really enjoyed it, it was a change from the usual romantic movie! I also watched Burlesque over the weekend which i also enjoyed. My boyfriend is such a sweetie for watching these with me although i had to sit through Machette on Friday! Ugh what a horrible movie :P He also bought us tickets to go see James Blunt in April which i am excited about as i love his music.

Also just wanted to tell you all the sweetest thing that he did today. I was away from my laptop for a while and when i came back he had tagged 5 pictures of me on facebook. I wondered what they were so i went to go take a look and he had tagged 5 pink blocks each containing a letter and it made out I (then a picture of a heart) Y O U. Isnt it soooo cute, 8 years and still romantic :P

Make love not war

We went for a little drive today to the airport and harbour today to see if we could spot any of the army planes and ships either coming from Libya or going there. We didnt see to much but we did take some unexpected photos.

It was the funniest thing to me at the airport, we were there to take photos but there were people there sitting in or next to their cars eating lunch? Haha i am not sure why as it doesnt seem very interesting watching the planes and the smell of the gas in the air from planes and cars is quite strong. One of the easy jet captians waved at me before they took off which was pretty funny. Maybe the planes are to close to the road?

We also found a garden near Valletta which we had never been in and it was actually pretty creepy and empty but with loads of awesome spots. We will definitely go back there again to take some more decent photos.

The last pic i just put in because i have been loving poached eggs again. Its so easy to make and much healthier than fried or scrambled. My sister also sent us our frother which my mom gave to us and we forgot in SA. It makes such nice milk foam to put onto our coffee :)

Hope you have all had an amazing weekend especially my mommy as it was her birthday today and the third or fourth year that i havent been in SA to celebrate it with her which is so so sad! I am off to go put the roast in the oven and bundle up watching survivor!

Look of the day - Jungle print

I decided to be a little bit more edgy today than the last two days before some of you think i am to sweet! Hehe, no just joking! I painted my nails red this morning and it all just came from there. I had to do the post office run as well so once again wearing my uber comfy shoes! I just cant stop wearing them!

I am very happy its weekend again. I have been needing to sort out my makeup room for ages as its been taken over by luggage clothes and everything in between so hopefully i can do it tomorrow as its supposed to be raining again...

Tonight all i have planned is some wine and movies so that should be good! I will be posting some other things on the weekend to break up all these outfit posts and hopefully do a video about tips for going to Rome as it has been requested! :) Have a fab weekend lovelies and keep spreading the love! xx

Look of the day - Polka Dots

Today is a total change from yesterday, no pink except for my nails and the weather did a 180 as well! It went from blue-ish skies to full on wind, rain, thunder and hail! Other than working today i am also watching the new episodes of Pretty little liars as i didnt even know the second part of the season had started again.

I am loving my boyfriend blazers at the moment as you can see. They are a little bit smarter than cardigans and it really makes an outfit like this look a little bit more put together and not to casual. I can also wear a coat over this when i go outside and it still looks fine.

Look of the day - Sweet as Candy

Seems like i am soooo loving pink at the moment right? So strange though when i was in high school i didnt like pink or red and now i love them! Your style and likes and dislikes really evolve over time dont they! I am wearing my primark headband at last! I loved it when i bought it and wanted to wear it but it never looked right and i was so jealous seeing other people on blogs wearing theirs so i was very happy today when i just thought it looked exactly right :)

When i was taking the pictures the sun was out and it was nice outsie and then all of a sudden a little while ago the sky went dark and cloudy and it started raining! Booooo whats up with that? I could wear the same outfit with stocking and a coat though so not worrying to much about the silly rain!

Inspired by

Today i have been mainly sitting in my pj's and working so an outfit post of that woul have been a bit concerning! I did however do a quick change to take this photo. It is actually inspired by another photo from this post that i thought was amazing but unfortunately it doesnt feature the main event which is a pretty chanel handbag.

Anyway i still though this would be a very pretty spring look paired with some cute wedges or pumps. My hands look so akward though and i think its because i had to go run infront of the camera before the timer went off so it was very "staged".I actually prefer that my boyfriend takes the pictures but he decided to go to a sports store to buy some muay thai equipment in his lunch time instead of coming home to take my outfit of the day pics! Lol boys :P

Look of the day - Pearls and Pink

Todays outfit is quite plain if you look at it quickly but it actually has a lot of small details which i love! I think cream and pink also look so good together and as i painted my nails with Eyeko's punk polish i felt like i needed to bring some extra pink to give the outfit some color.

The little details include the stripes on the fold over of the jacket, the cute buttons all along the side of the one lapel of the jacket, the flowers and pearls and gold thread on the top, the bronze buttons on the leggings and the little bows on the shoes. Little fun touches that make an outfit more visually interesting! :)

Excuse the glasses and hair! I have been getting headaches again from wearing my contacts to much so glasses it is for a few days and my hair, well i curled it and then slept like a crazy person last night and woke up with an odd shaped ball of fluff on my head!

Valentines day Rome

At last i am putting up a Valentines day post. I know my Rome posts have been kind of mushy but i am such a romantic and so is my man so we cant help being cute in photos! haha
We visited the Vatican and St Peters square on Vday but unfortunately i was not allowed into the Basilica because my dress wasnt long enough... I find this very strange as the next day i saw some tourist girls wearing skirts shorter than mine with stocking and high heels! Anyway in the end it worked out well as we actually climbed up to the top of the Basilica the next day and i would not have been able to do it in what i was wearing.

The weather was awesome and hot once again and i was so happy as we saw photos of Rome over that weekend two years ago and it was snowing like crazy! We would not have been able to see or do much if it was snowing...

Later we went back to the hotel and i had a bubble bath and some chianti and then we went out for dinner, i think my boyfriend had pizza every night but i actually (dont shoot me!) dont like the pizza they have in Italy that much... Maybe i just dont eat at the right places but it all seems to be the same type of pizza? I am very experimental and love different things and i am very spoiled coming from SA which in my mind has the best food in the world :)

I will try and do a post about tips for Rome if anyone is thinking about going there!

Look of the day - Gale Force

Yesterday we had gale force winds in Malta, planes couldnt land and i even know someone who had a balcony pot plant fall on their head when they were walking in the steet. Totaly crazy! Today was better but still super windy and it was so difficult to get good shots without my hair in my face. I also know the shoes i am wearing are more like slippers but you know what they are comfy and there is no chance i am walking in the wind to my boyfriends office with fancy shoes on haha sorry but its just not normal :P

Bare legs with pretty shoes with have been more my style but oh well winter has to get a chance as well right? I have also been trying to sort out my clothes but it hasnt gone to well, i just hate packing things away meaning loads of heaps all the time and just more stuff to pack away!

Look of the day - Double knit

The weather is awful today and i am basically just lounging around except for going to the post office this morning! I am loving the chunky knits i got in Rome as it is so comfy and great for cold rainy days!

I thought i would post a big pic of the ring as you cant really see it that much in the outfit photos, its so pretty and probably better suited for spring and summer but i couldnt resist wearing it!

Outfit in Rome - Palaltine Hill

We found a pretty patch of grass with trees and flowers at the Palantine hill near the Colosseum and it was a perfect place to take some photos and chill in the sun. Can you believe the weather. It was soooo amazing! Excuse the way i look though. This was after walking up to the top of the cupola at St Peters Basilica as well as walking around the colosseum etc so i was very tired and wasnt wearing any makeup on my face just some eyeliner and mascara.

I am wearing the black knitted top and scarf that my man bought for me at H&M and just some jeans and boots. I also had a black coat but it was so hot i didnt really need it!

It was all so perfect and romantic i wish i could go back! :)
