Look of the day - Royal Affair

Happy Royal Wedding Day Everyone!! Hope everyone has had a fun day whether you were watching it or not. I love weddings and i always cry so i just had to watch and to see the dress ofcourse. I think everyone looked amazing and it was just like a fairytale. I am definitely not someone to be all nasty about something as beautiful as this. I am not British but my boyfriends family lives there and i have visited quite a few times so i was totaly happy watching!

My outfit wasnt really an outfit but more of a dress up and it looks pretty similar to this one although the hat and the dress are different! :P

Look of the day - Love Gold

Yay i am back! It feels so good to blog again, i actually hate not blogging even for one day, so strange! Today the weather is all over the place but still hot. I have given up on wearing skirts on windy days as i always end up flashing, so a comfy pair of pants are it for today. I am actually pretty annoyed though because i wanted to buy this gold and leopard print boyfriend watch from Asos a while back and i would have gotten it with today's order but i didnt end up buying it. Then i thought it would have been perfect with todays outfit so i was pretty upset and not the price has gone up as well! My luck right?

Thank you so much for all the lovely comments on my DIY post. I never imagined such a response and i am so excited because now i am a million DIY ideas floating around in my head :P

DIY - Alexander Mcqueen Knuckle Duster Clutch

Over the weekend i got an idea for a really cute DIY item. I have been a bit inspired with doing DIY projects since seeing some of Andy from Style Scrapbook posts! This is my first attempt and i recreated (i use this term very loosely) the amazing Alexander Mcqueen knuckle duster skull clutch. I really want to buy one of these but at the moment we are more interested in buying cameras that cost that much instead of bags so in the mean time this will have to do.

• You will need a hard sunglasses case (i am so glad i had this brown moc croc effect one lying around!)

• A pair of pliers

• Jewellery glue

• Wire (i used head pins but normal wire will be better)

• Some kind of base for your ring (i used a filigree one which worked perfectly)

• A skull double finger ring

Its really easy to do and its only a couple of steps!

Step 1:
Attach the ring to the filigree base with your wire. I just fastened it around the ring base and through the bottom of the filigree base until it was really tight and the ring wouldnt move.

Step 2:
Open the sunglasses case and measure the middle. Then put glue on to half of your filigree base and stick it on half of the open side of the case. (you can see in the photo below what i mean)

Step 3:
Let it dry and that is it! Easy!

I cant wait to use this in a proper outfit post! Its so cute and it holds quite a bit. I can fit my sunnies, cellphone, some money or cards and even a lippie inside there. Even if you dont want to use it as a clutch its an awesome way to make your sunglasses case more stylish! (Here is a link to another fab Mcqueen DIY! Look of the day - Flower child

I am not wearing pink! Hahaha, seems like i am getting known for my girly outfits and eventhough i do also love them i promise i wear other colors :) One of my favorite other colors is navy and i also love it for summer. Another warm and windy day which is not always bad for photos except when my hair blows infront of my face, super annoying! :P

While taking these pics we found some new awesome places, did some bundu bashing and tried out new ideas with photos. We used our one lens to make a strange effect (me inside the lens) and also did some macro photography with our new extender tubes. You can see a blog post about it on my boyfriends blog.

Look of the day - Coral on the rocks

I found the perfect lippie for my coral obsession, i rediscovered popster from the hello kitty collection! It fits in perfectly with my coral shoes and blouse :) Sorry about the zillions of photos, i am just loving them all so much though! I asked my boyfriend to start taking photos with out 55-250ml lens and the results are amazing. Better quality and more depth of field! I cant wait till he gets his 7d, then i will have super awesome photos!

Hope everyone has been having a good easter weekend! Mine has been spent taking pictures and discovering new places which is awesome considering we didnt think after three years in Malta there were any new places left!

Look of the day - Rainy days

Although it might not look to bad in the pictures (and i am wearing a skirt!) it was indeed raining lightly while we were taking these. It wasnt extremely cold though so i didnt feel to silly in my skirt!

I just also want to say thank you soooooo much to everyone that follows, reads and comments on my blog. Its so amazing! I put so much of myself in it and it feels great to get good feedback. You all ROCK!!!

Color Block

I know color blocking has been around for ages but it seems to have gotten an extra push this spring/summer. I have yet to try the hardcore blocking that i have seen on some lovely fashion sites mostly because i dont own a lot of one color items. I did however find a pair of skinny purple jeans in my closet and recently bought some pink patent pumps and i thought these two made quite a pretty match.

I think my tendency to color coordinate is where my blocking downfall comes in. I have kept it in the same palette though using pinks, coral, blue and purple which i think all match pretty well, red, yellow and green are outsiders for the moment but its not colors i usually wear anyway so i am not going to force myself into a color crazy situation and end up looking like a clown!

Look of the day - Floral Playsuit

Excuse the severely tousled hair (nice way of putting it) and the lack of any real makeup. I am still feeling pretty tired today and havent had the energy to wash my mane of hair. I will also have to blame my sickness for my wonky poses today :P

I had to go out to the post office and do those things this morning but the rest of the day will be spent eating little hello kitty eggs and trying to get some work done!

I also thought i would show all of you what i have for breakfast during the week usually since some of you have asked about the diet fuel. All i do is i take some ice blocks, frozen fruit (i really like raspberries at the moment) a cup of cold water and a cup of juice, one banana and two scoops of USN Ultra lean Diet fuel and i blend it with my hand held blender. It makes a yummy tasting smoothie (i have the vanilla ultra lean) and it keeps you full till lunch as well as giving you all the energy and nutrients you need.

I usually have one of these after my morning workout and you can even have one for lunch if you are trying to lose weight but remember to also eat fruit and other snacks in between :)
