Look of the day - Picnic

Hi everyone! Hope you are having a great weekend. My birthday has been perfect and thank you so much for all the wishes, you cant imagine what it means to me! :) I will be putting up my birthday outfit tomorrow and i hope you all will like it as much as i did.

These photos are from our picnic on Friday night and the two cats are so cute, we always see them when we go down to the rocks.

Happy Birthday to me! :) I have had an incredible morning so far and last night we had a picnic and watched fireworks it was amazing :) We are off to the beach now but i will put up an outfit post later! :) xx PS. thank you for all the wishes i will get back to you asap!

Hope everyone is having a great day so far! I went out for a pre birthday lunch with my boyfriend and i am so full right now! Yummy yummy food :)

I am loving my new shoes as they are so comfy just like my pumps i promise! Later i will be getting ready to go for a picnic and watch the fireworks as there is a festa near to us this weekend. Hopefully we will take loads of pics especially with our new bokeh kit which has hearts as well as stars and many more. So exciting!

It is my birthday on Saturday and here are some pieces i will be wearing. I am sooooo excited about my new shoes that i just got in the post. They are stunning and so comfy! :)

Just a really simple look i wore to dinner last night. My outfit was actually very plain so i had some fun with my nails and matched it to my pink lipstick :) I really love this H&M dress, it fits perfectly and is the perfect LBD that you can dress up again and again!

I ate way to much, salmon cakes rib eye steak and chocolate fondant with icecream and baileys sauce. I should have taken some photos but i was to busy eating :P hehe We only got home at twelve which is way past my bed time so today i am super tired! Looking forward to a nice weekend for my birthday though and making scones later today! Yay will definitely be posting some pictures of that :)

I obviously couldnt wait to wear my cute zara oversized leopard print top so i had to throw it on this morning! Its a really nice light material so its great for the hot weather. Nothing better than freshly done hair, a few new favorite pieces and some perfect weather!

I also found this cute topshop skirt in the back of my closet that i bought a few years ago but before my weightloss it was a bit on the tight side so i hadnt been wearing it much. Now it fits like a dream and looks really cute! Yay :)

Yesterday i went to Zara to go check out the sal. I am very upset with myself that i had forgotten about it so most of the items i had my eye on were either gone or the sizes were way to big for me :( I did however manage to get three pieces i am really happy with!

I love the jacket with the leopard cuffs and been lusting over it for a while, although i had to buy a medium which is kind of baggy on me it still looks awesome especially paired with some skinny black jeans! Then i also got a really cute big leopard print top that has a gorgeous fit and there was only one left that i managed to find under a heap of other things and lastly a pair of pink skinny jeans which i have also been wanting since last winter!

Today i received two totaly amazing nail polish colors in the post, the one is OPI Glow up already from the burlesque collection and the other is Do you think i am Tex-Y from OPI Texas collection. I am already in love with both colors and i am planning to wear either one or both on my birthday Saturday. The pink is a lovely dark sophisticated pink and it was a color that was lacking in my collection and the other a very very pretty gold glitter. LOVES!

Hi everyone! This morning i woke up to 4000 followers! It was so awesome as i was really hoping to reach that number before my birthday (which is next week Saturday) I am so lucky to have so many amazing followers, you are all fantastic!!

Unfortunately i stepped on a sea urchin on Friday and my foot has been very sore and swollen which makes walking uncomfortable (and wearing shoes) so i couldnt do an outfit post yesterday. I actually spent the whole day watching Chuck reruns :P

Gotta love some stripes right? A total over load today but ah well! Its super hot and i havent been sleeping to well but thank goodness its Friday. Time to chill out with some wine and relax. We went out for a yummy lunch and later we are having a bbq so all in all perfect Friday so far.

Another hot day another minimal clothing outfit. If its loose and relaxed, then its ok for July and August in Malta :)Once again my boohoo.com cami saves the day, lots of airflow going on underneath it :P

If you havent noticed yet (or you are a new follower) i have been playing around with my blog layout again! Blame it on getting bored with things very quickly! Hope you like it and i will still be making little tweaks and changes in the coming weeks!

I thought i would do a little post on how to wear items of clothing different ways. You can have different looks without breaking the bank! I love this really inexpensive H&M dress (last worn here) and i think its a perfect item to mix and match.

I love biscotti and strangely enough you dont really see it in Malta like you do in Cape Town at almost every deli and grocery store. Strange because Malta is right by Italy! Anyway i saw Giada making biscotti on food network a while back and i just had to make some. Here is her recipe, i left out the lemon and added some coffee and Tia Maria :)

Enjoy with some good coffee and its heaven (btw its supposed to be very hard, i saw someone complain about it coming out hard and not soft like a cookie online lol :P)

I really havent worn this maxi dress enough. It is so nice and flowy and of course i adore the pattern! Excuse the beach hair though as it just gets to difficult to wash my hair everytime i come back from a swim. I might have dreadlocks by the end of the summer but oh well! :P

I also did a little youtube makeup tutorial if anyone was interested in taking a look! :)

I thought i would share some random not fashion related photos from Sunday. We had an awesome relaxing day with good food and lots of adventure!

Most of the day was spent swimming down at the rocks infront of our apartment and we even went after dinner and floated on our lilos till the sun almost set.

I love days spent between trees and flowers in hot weather and a picnic in a park is always a great idea especially if it takes a little boat ride to get there!

My outfit reflects my very girly mood and i absolutely love it!

I made a messy side fishtail braid for the first time a couple of days ago and since then i have had a lot of requests to do a how to :) I havent perfected it but i do prefer it more on the messy side as it looks more romantic and less going to school perfect.

I know its kind of weird to call a bunch of rocks the beach but thats how we roll here :P Actually we call it going down to the rocks but i am sure most people would be confused by a title that said Rock Style?

Anyway just some pics of an evening spent chilling, swimming, drinking wine :) My favorite things to do in summer!

I think my boohoo pleated skirts have quickly become my wardrobe favorites, so easy to wear for summer and you can dress them up so many different ways! The cream one is like the cherry on top, so utterly chic and romantic!

My new favorite pink and orange top inspired me to do some lipstick color blocking today! When i saw this photo i just new i had to try it out. So fun, bright and colorful! Totaly me :) I used MAC vegas volt although morange would probably be a better one to use as well as my maybelline lipstick in material girl.

I am definitely looking like a bird lady today. Bright colors, bird print and even a pink birdie necklace as well as a gold own necklace. Not sure where the sudden bird love comes from but maybe it stuck in my head after watching RIO the other night (soooo cute) or my boyfriends addiction to Angry birds or the fact that we had one weird pigeon chilling or rather hanging on to the outside of our kitchen balony this morning.

Anyway i am very chirpy today (haha lame joke) and feeling heaps better than yesterday. I do however feel the need to complain about the weather again. Its so predictable and somewhat funny that every winter we complain that its sooooooo cold and come summer we complain that its sooooo hot. Another reason to move back to Cape Town, the weather likes me there and i like the weather, no complaints :)

Today i have been feeling pretty run down, a mixture of not sleeping well and severe heat has left me completely drained. I spent a lot of the day in a horizontal position trying to feel better and i have yet to shake the fuzzy feeling :(

If you do feel sick though you can just as well do it in style. I love this cream on cream soft romantic combo, its nice and cool for the heat and not restricting.

I love Dior forever foundation so recently i repurchase it and while i was buying anyway i also got the powder which i have heard wonderful things about. It is really tiny but apparently a little goes a long way and it feels extremely soft and smooth on your skin. We will have to see how it works with hot humid Malta weather though!

Loving the bright and nude mix of todays outfit! Some newbies and oldies thrown together today. Vintage necklace turned bracelet and (almost vintage i swear!) six+ year old wedges. I bought these wedges back in the day for R60 (about £4) and i have gotten soooo much wear out of them which is awesome for something that was so inexpensive. Then i am wearing new Asos sunnies and a new cami from boohoo.com i have been looking for one like that for ages so i am glad i found it!

I thought i would just share some cool night time shots that we took when my family came to visit. I love the first shot of myself and my boyfriend but i just wish my sister had focused in on us and not the background :P

If you havent ever had a Granita (and i mean the real ones, not the ice and syrup mix stuff) you should try it. The weather is extremely hot here at the moment and it is so nice to cool down with a real fruit Granita. I had a half peach and half strawberry one on the weekend and it is so divine. The pineapple is also very good!

I got some cool sunnies and white shorts in the post today and i cant wait to wear them. We also got a recorder which will make the sound on my youtube videos so much better so that is exciting!

Loving this book! Its a gorgeous coffee table book and it has loads of stunning photos inside. Lots of inspiration.

Last night we went to a wine festival and this is what i decided to wear. I was extrememly tired so not a lot of creativity going on and it was sooo very hot and humid, not weather i really love going out in :P

Today we are just chilling having a bbq and swimming! Typical Sunday for us! x

Happy Saturday! I am having a very relaxed day so far, went for a snorkel and now chilling at home :)I have a new love in my wardrobe and its my River Island kimono. Its soooo beautiful! I love the color the pattern and the way it hangs Its also something great to wear in this summer heat so that i dont feel to naked and it gives interest to a plain outfit like this one.

For some reason i felt like some kind of fortune teller in this outfit. I love having a theme and the Asos skull necklace paired with the flowy fabric painted a pretty picture. I made my eyes smokey and my lips peachy with some gold on my cheeks to play with the tones of my outfit and the sunset.

Its Friday! Yay, a good enough reason to dance already although this skirt is perfect for making pretty shapes when you twirl around!

Wearing my bikini top two days in a row but who cares, i absolutely love it! I actually asked my mom who is amazing with a sewing machine if its easy to make a dress similar to this but just a bit shorter and she says it is! She is going to give me some tips when we get back to South Africa so that i can also begin making some of my own goodies (pleated skirt and scalloped shorts are apparently really easy!!) I cant wait to take all the ideas i have in my head and make them a reality.

Hi everyone! :) I am a bit frustrated at the moment as i wanted to put up my youtube video with this post but the upload has failed twice and i didnt want to wait any longer so i will link on twitter later.

I felt like wearing a soft pastel outfit today but with an edge so i hope you all like it!

Jelly Pong Pong Brazilian Sun bronzer makes me feel oh so special when putting it on with the pretty powder puff! I also adore the packaging and the bronzer gives you the prettiest sun kissed glow!

I couldnt face doing outside photos today as it was just to hot but i did do some creative work while inside! I am really trying to to work on my cinemagraphs but its still a bit wonky, hopefully i will get them soon! My Kate Moss by Mario Testino book also came and its FAB!

Anyway off to watch a movie now. Have an utterly fab evening xx

Words can hardly describe what emotions i feel when i page through this book! I only got Chanel - Collections and Creations yesterday but it has already stolen my heart. So many beautiful pictures, old and new draw you into the world of Chanel the brand and Coco herself.

I havent even started reading it yet but i think i am going to savour every page so that its not over to quickly although it is definitely one of those books you wil page through over and over again!

I have been getting so many barbie comments lately that i thought it would be a fitting to do a bit of a barbie inspired look! Pink and plastic with my new Asos handbag and cute Kandee shoes! :)

I also got some goodies in the post today including an amazing fashion book that will be sharing with all of you in my next post. I am already totaly in love with it and cant wait to buy more similar ones.

I am loving my outfit combo today because i found these super cute Primark shorts in my cupboard after not wearing them for ages. All of a sudden they fit like a dream (they were very tight when i first got them) Other than that i have found some cool photography related sites today as well as experimenting with some things. Now i need to do some work and maybe read a bit (loving my new books i bought yesterday!)

I have been flipping through the July issue of British Vogue and i thought i would share some of my faves with all of you :)

Hi everyone! Today has been really long as we woke up at 6 so my boyfriend could go do a 10km mini marathon. The rest of the day was spent chilling, going to the mall and buying some books, going to the beach and having a bbq on the balcony. Perfect sunday right? :)

Just a few strange photos of today! I saw that Marc Jacobs handbag in the window of a shop (that was closed...) and i totaly fell in love its so pretty!

I saw a favorite outfits of the month post on Andy blog (stylescrapbook) and thought its such a cute idea to see all your looks from the month that you like the most together. While doing this post i also saw i seem to have developed a signature pose! Looking down or looking down while touching my sunglasses :P Lol i never even noticed till i saw all the photos together!

I was inspired by THIS photo i saw on Vogue online a few days ago to do a preppy outfit. These shorts seem to be perfect for the look and ofcourse i had to add a squash racket for effect (i didnt have a tennis one lol)

Another vacation post! Although i stayed in Malta so its not really vacation for me it was for my family so we did all the tourist things. One of my favorite places we went is Comino. We dont go there often as you have to drive to the end of the island on the north then take a small water ferry to the blue lagoon at Comino. Its really small and there is hardly anywhere to sit and it gets very very very full. We got there with the first ferry so luckily we found a rock to sit on right by the water.

I love putting on makeup but now you can see another side of me sans makeup, swimming and snorkeling which i also love doing.
