Packing Up
We are almost finished packing up and I cant actually believe we are flying home on Tuesday! We have been in Malta for three and a half years so it is definitely going to be strange to be back home but its a new adventure and I cant wait. I wont have any internet tomorrow but I will try and take photos and make some videos that I can upload as soon as we get back Cape Town. Thank you so much for being with in on my little Malta adventure and I hope you will stick around to see Cape Town with me! xx
Sugar Skull Makeup
I absolutely fell in love with these pictures from a Planet Blue campaign when I saw them on Oracle Fox. Just a few days ago I actually did a tutorial on doing Sugar skull makeup for Halloween and i did a purple and black look (see below)

Look of the day - Black Jack
Packing ,packing ,packing and more packing is almost all I have on my mind at the moment! I am trying to switch off and focus on other things but that might not be the best idea! :P Yesterday I packed up my makeup room. I am basically giving most of it away and just taking my favorite makeup items with that I use all the time. Its a good excuse to go for a bit of a shopping trip back home anyway! :) Today I need to sort out the other rooms and start seeing what need to go where. Not looking forward to it but it needs to be done.
Next week this time you will already be seeing new location outfit shoots, yay! So excited! :)
Look of the day - Casual Color
These photos are actually from Saturday and it was quite drizzly and miserable! We did go out for cake and coffee though and also for a walk on the rocks where we took some photos! We came across this piece of fabric that was still up at a restaurant/bar which is closed for the winter and i thought it would make a great backdrop for photos!
Today I spent most of the day working on a youtube Halloween tutorial. I wasnt planning on doing any but then I got this idea and really wanted to try it out! :) I will upload it later tonight hopefully!
Look of the day - Fresh Start
Happy Monday everyone! Hope you all had a fab weekend! One of the things I cant wait when we are back home is having a fresh start. Its always the best feeling to be able to buy new things and only have what you really want.
Autumn Loves
Today we went for a little walk and even though the weather wasn't really that cold or crisp you could still see Autumn all around. I took a few photos of leaves as they look so pretty! I miss Autumn in South Africa where you see pretty colored leaves everywhere!
I thought I would list some things I love about Autumn!
Stepping on dry leaves and hearing them crackle
Making and eating yummy butternut squash soup (I am making some tonight!)
Being able to snuggle in bed after a hot summer of sleeping under sheets.

The story of us
Nine years ago today I was sitting in my parents lounge area with a guy I had known for a month. I was 18 and he was 23. He asked me if I wanted to be more than just friends and I asked him what he meant (silly girl) He asked me if I wanted to be his girlfriend and I said yes. All this over a cup of coffee on the couch. Nine years later we still love coffee and chilling on couches but more than that we still love each other and that's saying something :)
I have basically spent my whole adult life with him and we have had plenty of adventures and hopefully plenty more to come. We have molded each other and seem to be one person at times. He is my boyfriend my photographer and most of all my best friend.
Favorites {Lip Products}
I did a lipstick post a while back but as I get asked what lipsticks I wear most of the time I thought it would be good to do another one with a video! I tend to wear only a few lipsticks until they are finished instead of buying loads so my favorites stay around for quite a while!
I also wanted to know what your all time favorite must have lipsticks are (high end or drugstore) as I might be planning a bit of duty free shopping in Dubai and definitely some more when I get back home!
Look of the day - Before the storm
Since the time these were taken at lunch time till now the weather has gone quite strange. Very very still with dark clouds hanging over the sea. I think there is a storm brewing. I actually really like the calm bit before a big thunder storm. Everything just looks different and you never know when that first bit of lightning will strike the sea!
I haven't been doing anything interesting this past week, mostly getting stuff ready for us before we leave but this weekend we have lots of things planned! We want to do some Halloween type shoots and videos even though I don't really ever get dressed up and all of those things I am such a sucker for any type of fun festive holiday. It is also our 9 year anniversary on Saturday which is so crazy. It seems like just yesterday we met on the beach!
Look of the day - Nautical Twist
It was a really gorgeous day here so I just had to wear a long floaty skirt to reflect my mood! I went for kind of a nautical look but decided to incorporate some unexpected bits like a leopard print belt and a mustard handbag.
I made another outfit video (see bottom of my post) and added in a little bit of the view from our balcony so everyone could see the lovely weather. our new apartment will also have a amazing sea view but it will be from the foot of a mountain and not so close so I will definitely miss this.
White out {Office Ideas}
I have been spending quite a lot of time thinking about how to decorate our apartment, especially the bedroom and home office area. We need a place for myself and my boyfriend seeing that we will both be working from home for the first couple of months till we find a suitable office. After looking at so many cute and interesting office set ups I have finally decided to go with something very plain. I want most of our apartment to be white with touches of black, silver and maybe even a pop of color here and there. A white office seemed the way to go so that everything will just merge smoothly into one :) I also decided that a long desk on the side of our one wall that we could both sit at would probably make the most sense. I absolutely cant wait to start buying goodies for the office the first of which will be an iMac for my boyfriend and maybe one for me!
Look of the day - Pink & Leopard Print Mix
Today was quite a bit warmer than it was on the weekend so I was super happy I got to wear my leopard print skirt! I really wanted to match it with pink and I had to decide if I wanted to wear it with a pink top or pink jacket. I went with the jacket just because I didn't have anything suitable to put on over the pink top.
I am also wearing my new cute name necklace from MyNameNecklace. I have wanted one of these for ever, and now I am wearing it like every single day!

When I stumbled across these photos of Rachel Zoe's offices I knew I just had to share them with all of you! I am pretty sure its almost every girl's dream (maybe fashion bloggers more than anyone else) to work in an environment like this.
I am also totally in love with the glass table and I really need to find something similar.
New In {Leopard Skirt}
I know I am not supposed to have any new in posts till I am back in South Africa but when i saw this pretty leopard print bodycon skirt at New Look I just couldn't resist! I can see myself wearing it a lot and I tried to argue in my head that its not that heavy (although add it all up and 30kg seems like nothing!)
I also have three new rings from Motedronningen that I love.
How to - Enhance your photos {Photoshop Curves}
Today while I was browsing some blogs on bloglovin I found a blog with some great photography goodies. I especially love the free photoshop curves that you can download. These are really great to give any photo a special look or feel and they are also great time savers if you want to apply these effects to quite a few photos. If you are not that great with photoshop I am sure these will be a lifesaver!Random Birthday Photos
It was my boyfriends birthday yesterday and I thought I would share some random pics of the day with all of you! :) On Thursday I was super busy the whole day with my "top secret project" for him and if you saw my superficialgirls fb page you would already know I made him a cake. Not just any cake but an instagram/angry birds one. It is chocolate with crunchie and chocolate filling and i had very very limited tools to work with seeing that our whole apartment is packed up but I still think it came out pretty cool. This is my very first fondant cake and i cant wait to make more!
I gave him the cake because I could only give him a small actual present seeing that we have to deal with suitcase weight limits now! I got him a mini tripod and lens for his iphone to feed is instagram addiction lol!
I made him croissants, scrambled eggs and bacon for breakfast, then we went to mint for a yummy lunch. Later we had ciders on the rocks in front of our apartment and took loads of pics, my boyfriend even had a swim! For dinner I made tomato soup with cream and crispy bacon and parmesan crusted crispy bread, then steak with garlic butter mushrooms and chips and for dessert chocolate cake of course!
Halloween Blood Spatter Nails {Dexter}
I don't really like blood and gore, I am more of a pink and fluffy kind of girl but seeing that it is almost Halloween and we have started watching Dexter from season one I thought I would do a scary nails tutorial!
I didn't ever want to watch Dexter as i obviously don't like anything with blood or murder but after my boyfriends mom insisted it was really good we started watching from the first season and that was it. ADDICTED!
Look of the day - Red & Print
I have been crazy busy today but not busy enough to do a little blog post! :) I am still living from my few "suitcase" items of clothing and I must say its really not as bad as I imagined and a whole lot easier to make outfits :P
I loved matching my leopard print sheer top with this Zara jacket because it almost looks like the sleeves are part of the top! (small things right?)
Anyway I have to run and go do some top secret missions for my boyfriends bday on Friday! xx

I have most definitely found the next fashion coffee table book I want to buy. As you saw in my previous posts I bought the Chanel collections and creations and the Kate Moss &Mario Testino one and when I saw Yves Saint Laurent Style I just fell in love!

Look of the day - Fall weather
I guess it was lift my leg up photo day? I just realized that i am doing it in three of the photos! :) Other than that this weekend has been very low key mostly due to us being so lazy after a week of excitement and stress. We went out for walks, ate loads of yummy food and watched the entire season two of Dexter. We also had a huge storm come past last night with gale force winds, crazy rainbows, lightening and rain. Thank goodness all of that happened after taking outfit pics! :)
Clothes Rail
I am really warming up to the idea of having a clothing rail in our new bedroom. I know the cupboard space is limited and this will solve a storage problem but I also think it will add to the interior and feel of the room if done right. I am thinking some of my prettiest dresses maybe or all my favorite items?

I dont have much to say today except YAY its Friday. :) I cant wait for the long relaxing weekend after this crazy week. I need lots of rain, movies and good food :)
Look of the day - On the rocks
I had one of the most stressful days I have ever had in a long time yesterday and I am so extremely glad it is over. We had to finish packing all our belongings to get shipped back to South Africa in this box as well as carry the box (empty) down 4 flights of stairs and the bring down the boxes and fill it up. I can safely say my muscles have never been this sore not even from the worst gym workout! At least we got to chill on the rocks and then grab some takeout dinner from Mint and 100% relax for the rest of the evening.
I did however wake up this morning with a huge headache which is still lingering at the back of my head when I should be working. Hopefully the next few weeks we have left in Malta will be stress free!
This outfit is one of the first I have made with the remaining few items of clothes that I will be taking back in my suitcase. Later today or tomorrow I will post a collage of all the shoes, clothes and handbags I have left so you can all see what I have to work with for outfit posts till we leave! Its definitely going to be a challenge :)

Look of the day - Pumpkin Orange
Today has been a sad day! I have had to figure out what I need to pack in out box clothing wise which means for the rest of the month I am only going to have a few things to wear! I will be doing how to wear 20 items of clothing 20 ways in 20 days or something like that! :P In other fab news my sister emailed me some pics of our new apartment today and I am so excited to move in!

Interiors {Chandelier Love}
There is something extremely glam and chic about chandeliers, they seem to make any space look special. I would love to get one for our new apartment but I am still undecided what type and where. Do i go for old school glam or a bit more trendy? I already have one small crystal and black one but I will be saving it for our new offices!

Look of the day - Blending in
Happy Saturday! I woke up so early this morning so my Saturday has been quite long already. Today will consist of packing packing and more packing. Ahhh I just wish this part of the move could be over already. In better news though my mom is fetching the keys to our new apartment today which is very exciting as we will probably have some proper photos by later today (will try and post some on my facebook page if I have time!)
Yesterday completely by accident I wore leopard print with snakeskin, what do you guys think of that combo?
