Yesterday I went shopping and picked up some cute goodies! I got these two cute tops from Woolworths and the belt from Mr Price. I might look like I escaped from prison wearing a black stripe top but I just couldnt resist! :) What have you bought recently?

Look of the day - Gone Dotty

I have been loving polka dots lately and especially big ones like on this cute blouse! Its so much fun for summer  especially paired with bright colors. 


Today I went shopping and bought some really cute goodies for the apartment and for myself of course that I cant wait to show you! 

Look of the day - Best Sunsets in the World

I always missed my Cape Town sunsets when I was Malta. We lived on the sunrise side of Malta and although they looked amazing, I wasn't always awake to see them. I adore seeing the vibrant pink, red and orange sky again and it makes me feel all warm and happy inside!

Look of the day - Windy City

Yesterday the wind started blowing and I think it has just gotten worse and worse. Cape Town gets really bad wind this time of year and it makes taking outfit posts out and about almost impossible sometimes. We did however manage to get a few shots in Sea Point before almost getting blown into the sea! :P


We have had quite a busy weekend and I cant wait to chill out with a movie tonight :) Have a fab Sunday!! xx

Look of the day - Jack Friday at The Grand

On Friday we were lucky enough to go to The Grand on the beach (one of Cape Town's hottest summer hang outs) for a party sponsored by Jack Daniels. We had a stunning three course meal, an amazing setting and as much Jack Daniels as we wanted. I drank mine with cranberry juice and even had a mojito made with it and as a non whiskey drinker I must say I was very surprised at how nice it was. 


We had live music and afterwards we chilled down at the water with a light salty breeze ending off a perfect afternoon!

Look of the day - Beach Waves

Even though the wind was howling and I ended up with hair in my face more than anything else I quite liked the beachy look it created with my curls. I have been wearing my hair wavy a lot more since moving to South Africa and I really think it just suits me here (and they stay in longer) 


I really cant wait to show all of you some different places in Cape Town but I feel like I am always so busy and I never have my camera out when I should. Hopefully once the initial holiday season crazy times passes I can do some more "out and about" style posts! :)

Look of the day - Tangerine

Today has been a very exciting day for me as I woke up to an email that said I had made the top three finalists for SA blog awards in the fashion category. I am really really grateful for all your support in voting for me and I know without all my amazing followers, family and friends I would have never gotten to where I am. THANK YOU SO MUCH!! :) The awards ceremony is on the 10th of December so keep your fingers crossed that I win over all!

Look of the day - Flower Child

I love it when I find clothing items that I haven't worn for a while and suddenly love them again! I bought this coral Zara dress quite a few years ago and I don't even think I wore it once this summer in Malta and now I saw it again and totally wanted to wear it! :)

Apartment wishlist

We have been so busy with our new apartment recently and even though some of it has been hard work it is really fun to scout for ideas and find items that you love!

I am really into anything crystal, silver, black and white with some natural wood and cream colors and textures thrown in. I think the earthy tones really balance out the harshness of the black and silver!

These colors also work perfectly now for Christmas and I cant wait to put up Christmas decorations! :)

Look of the day - Shorts for Summer

On Saturday it was extremely hot, on Sunday we had cold wet weather and today we are having both in one! That is Cape Town for you, sometimes we can have all four seasons in one day! :P It makes for interesting outfits though, you either freeze in the morning wearing a little bit of clothes and then you are fine for later or you are fine in the morning and hot later :P All is good though and I am busier than I have been in 4 years!


Last night I could hardly move after all the heavy lifting I have done over the weekend but it is all worth it as we got our desk sorted at last! It looks great and after a few finishing touches I will take some pics that I can post.

Look of the day - DIY

Yesterday we went out to get some goodies for our apartment and ended up having to carry a 3 meter desk top up two flights of stairs wish was a huge mission as it was very very heavy and it didnt really fit in the stairwell! Today I have cuts and marks all over my hands and guess what, the top is more than 3 meters and it doesnt fit where we want it... 


I am sure everything will work our but it was really frustrating as it is going to be our desk (it will look something like this) Hopefully we will get that up this week as well as a dining room table and some frames with our own photography above our bed! I cant wait to show all of you when we have a more cohesive look going :P

Look of the day - Autumn colors in Spring weather

I did a lot of "Autumn shades" outfit post when we were still in Malta but Autumn colors are definitely not restricted to colder weather. I loved how the leopard print, orange, yellow and nude colors looked on a sunny day without jackets and boots to keep away the crisp air. 


With all the yummy food we have in South Africa it has been difficult to resist temptation but it has also been amazing taking walks along the beach in the morning and then again near the mountain later in the afternoon, I absolutely love being surrounded by nature again! I hope I can take my camera with one one of my walks soon so I can show you all how pretty it is :)

Look of the day - Spiked

Today has been super windy here in our hood so if you want to wear a skirt wear a tight one that wont blow up! Luckily I just got this one yesterday and I thought it would be fun mixing the striped with a floaty snakeskin blouse and some edgy spike stud shoes.

I really wanted to wear a red cardigan with the outfit but it was way to hot!

Look of the day - Fresh Morning

We needed to leave early this morning to go run some errands and fetch our crate (YAY) so we took some early morning photos and I love how they came out. Everything just seemed so bright and fresh. I also tried something new with my hair. I curled it with my curling tong but I didnt open the clamp I used it as a wand. It was so easy and quick and I love the result. No crispy ends!


I wore my Mr Price wedges again today and wore them with a dress as suggested by Lippylash and they look so cute especially with the jacket! (I am sooo matchy matchy!)


I cant wait to go pack out all my clothes that we shipped over! xx

I love all things DIY and I really love the PS. I made this site! When I saw this DIY makeup Holder I thought it was such a cute idea especially because studs are so trendy at the moment. I also love the Maybelline Baby lips balm and I totally want some! 

Look of the day - Cool Turquoise

I bought a pair of super cute turquoise and blue wedges from Mr Price over the weekend. I adore these because they are striking comfortable and not to high for everyday walking! I paired the very bright turquoise colors with some neutrals to make them seem crisp and clean and i just loved the outcome. 


We also bought new bedside lamps with faux ostrich leather lamp shades and crystal and silver lamp bases. I cant wait to put all the little touches in our apartment that I have been dreaming about! :)

New In - Mr Price

Today we had to go pick up some more goodies for our flat. Pretty bedside lamps, towels, mugs and another office chair. I also couldn't resist these cute floral shorts and high leopard print shoes from Mr Price. Our crate is coming tomorrow with all the goodies we still packed inside there from Malta so I cant wait to see all my clothes, shoes and handbags again after more than a month without them!

Look of the day - Saturday Stroll

Today I thought I would take my camera out with me and I am so glad I did because we ended up heading to the V&A Waterfront to do some food shopping and I got some pics on the little bridge that connects the car park to the mall. I had to snap some pics of Forever New as I absolutely love the shop and it always makes me  want to buy goodies! :P

My sister gave me a whole lot of clothes to tide me over till our crate arrives with most of my stuff inside it so I had lots of fun today with color! Unfortunately the wind starting blowing just as I wanted to take outfit posts but we still managed to get some shots before the wind blew my skirt over my head! :)

Beach time

Yesterday we went for a walk on Camps Bay beach. It was a perfect day and I managed to get some nice pics. I love that we are so close to nature and that it is on such a big scale.

My sister brought by a cute leopard print alice band with ears and I thought it would be cute to do an "Africa" themed post with it! My mom bought me this cute little dress and I love it (its animal print so of course I would!)

Look of the day - Madam Zingara

I hope everyone is having a fab Sunday so far. I am a bit tired as last night we went to Madam Zingara for my sisters birthday celebrations. Its a fantastic circus type show with a yummy dinner and we really enjoyed ourselves. Everyone dresses up and dances at the end of the show and there is a four course meal. We only got home after one though so we have had a very chilled Sunday and I have been able to pack out all my bags at last!

New in

Yesterday I went shopping yay! Didn't take me to long right? :) I just bought a few things mostly looking for goodies for the apartment but ending up buying goodies for me!
I got these cute wedges from Mr Price (its like Primark of SA) and then I also got cute polka dot shorts there. I needed a new vanity mirror and I saw this one at Mr Price home and fell totally in love! My mom also bought me a cute princess sign. I cant tell you all how good it is to be back home!
