Summer Sun & Fun in Hermanus

We just returned from a fun filled few days in Hermanus! It was filled with BBQ's lots of swimming and sun and I am so sad that it was so very short.

MAC Dazzlesphere in Plum Ornament

My amazing boyfriend bought me a MAC dazzlesphere as one of my stocking fillers. I didnt even know about this collection (shock horror!) but obviously he spends more time at MAC than I do... hmmmmm :P
Anyway, he bought the plum ornament with the pigment inside and I love it! 


The colors are Misty, Seasonal Cool. Grape and Light Violet. At the moment I think Seasonal cool is my favorite color as I feel it is most versatile and could be worn during the day or at night.

Look of the day - Palm tree

We actually took these photos a few days before Christmas but I have only had time to blog about them now! I wore a relaxed outfit as we went out for dinner and afterwards we stopped in Seapoint for some pics as the sun was setting!


Knits, faux leather and black might not seem like a great combo for summer but it felt light and was sophisticated but relaxed enough to go out for dinner in. I think the hint of leopard print and gold mixed
with the interesting textures of the shorts and sweater made for a simple yet striking outfit.

New In - Christmas Gifts

We have been buying loads of stuff for our apartment since we have come back so I wanted a low key Christmas but Michael still insisted on spoiling me with some amazing goodies! I also got some apartment theme pressies from my mom and I absolutely love everything and feel so grateful!


I got these black heels just before Christmas as a pre Christmas gift from Michael as I wanted to wear them on Christmas eve with my black skater dress. The love sign my mom bought for me and I am planning to put it above our bed!

Its a lovely day here in Cape Town and we are all set for a great Christmas eve! The presents are wrapped, Michael Buble is playing and the cupboards are stocked :)

Look of the day - Fruit Salad {NAIL POLISH GIVEAWAY}

Happy Monday everyone! It is a week before Christmas and I am running around like a crazy person trying to get things done :) Yesterday we quickly went out and before the camera died we managed to get a few snaps, yay!

Look of the day - In Nature

I actually have quite a funny story about these photos, while we were taking them a man and woman walked past us on the path and when the woman saw me she stopped behind Michael and took photos of me with her cellphone. I am not sure if she was a follower (she didnt say hi) or what but it was very  very akward and strange and the first time something like that has happened to me! 

We have been so busy and I cant believe that it is almost Christmas, I feel like I havent done anything that needed to be done and time is just going WAY to fast! 

Look of the day - Christmas in Africa

I thought it would be fun to do my outfit post in front of our Christmas tree instead of outside today. My decor is mostly monochrome with touches of color here and there so I am almost emulating this in my outfit and I added a pop of bright pink. 


Christmas in South Africa is usually hot and bright and happy. A lot of the shops dont do the traditional green and red and gold etc decorations but sometimes they give it more of a summer vibe with multicolored lights and bright decorations. This year my favorite shops Woolworths and @Home had very silver sparkly themes which I love and fit in very well with our place!

Oh Christmas Tree {Holiday Decor}

I love holiday decor and for the last 4 years we have not spent Christmas in our apartment so we had nothing to decorate! This year however we are having Christmas eve at our new place and I thought it would be fun to really get into the Christmas spirit this year! I will show you my Christmas tree and decor in a video and post tomorrow but here are some cute inspiration photos that might help you with your DIY decor for the holidays!

Look of the day - Christmas Elf

I definitely feel like a Christmas elf with these white, red and green photos although I doubt elves have a soft spot for leopard print! The weather has been super weird and cold for this time of the year though and soon after going outside dressed like this I regretted it. It even started raining later so I was very glad that I didn't spend the whole day out and about.


Tonight we are uploading out first ever vlog, yay! Hope you guys will enjoy it even though it is a bit scattered at the moment, we still need to find a rhythm I think. 

Apartment Goodies

Since we have moved into our new apartment I have been having so much fun buying goodies to decorate it with. I didnt want to go out and just buy everything at the same time so when we go out I look around for perfect pieces. Here are some things we have bought recently that I just love!

Look of the day - Icing

It was my nephews second birthday over the weekend and on Thursday and Friday we made him a cool lightening mcqueen birthday cake(check it out here). It took us so long and we were very tired afterwards but the look of joy on his face when he saw it made it all worth it!


In other news we have thought about it and then on Sunday we bought a small nikon coolpix so we can start vlogging! It might start as a weekly or twice weekly one and we will see from there but I am very exciting to share little snippets of my life with all of you :)

Seeing that I have been very much into jewellery lately I thought this would be a fab idea on how to make your own pretty goodies! These would also be so great as little handmade gifts dont you think? :)

Look of the day - Christmas Bling

Even though we have Christmas in summer sometimes I still want that warm feel with red lips, chunky knits and lots of bling! Now all that is missing is some snow (not!) :P Just a very casual outfit for a casual dinner.

Look of the day - Vintage Nautical

We had the most perfect day in Cape Town over the weekend and we decided to take a nice drive up Chapmans Peak with the top down. I love the feeling of the wind blowing through my hair and the sun shining down, absolute bliss!


I borrowed a stunning vintage nautical blazer from my my mom that she bought ages ago. It is so stunning and I thought it just looked great with the blue and stripes for a sunny day!

New In - Sparkle Sparkle

I received some stunning jewellery from Milor.com yesterday and I cant wait to wear them in some outfit posts. I love the silver sparkle ring from the Special editions collection, its perfect for a Christmas gift in my opinion. It is 925 sterling silver embellished with beautiful swarovski crystals and I want one of every color in my stocking!

Look of the day - Monkey Business

This weekend was quite eventful and lots of fun! I saw Breaking Dawn at last *YAY* and also went on lots of other little outings including going to World of Birds in Hout bay. I have never been and I have always wanted to go see the monkeys that they have there (birds are actually not my top fave thing, you cant even cuddle them! :P) 


I ended up having a monkey sit on my head and took loads and loads of photos. They are so sneaky you actually have to take off jewelry, sunglasses etc so that they dont steal them :P They were so cute when they looked into our camera lenses I seriously wanted to squash one into my handbag to take home!

Look of the day - Pink Nautical

Sometimes I just want to look fun and cute and not take myself seriously at all. Yesterday was one of those days. Navy and pink just popped into my head and felt like such a fun combination. It is amazing that I could wear that yesterday and last night I got woken up with crazy thunder, wind and rain! Today isnt much of a first day of summer here in Cape Town but hopefully it will just get better. (Ps. Check out our I Candy advent calendar for surprises and specials everyday for 12 days!)
